We recognise that like every enterprise, BOX$MART has an impact on the environment. Our aim is to minimise the influence of our operations on the environment and the communities within which we operate. To this end BOX$MART has achieved certification as the first Australian moving supplies sales and rental business to be 100% Carbon Neutral. This No CO2 Certification qualifies BOX$MART to promote and supply ‘Pre Green’ packaging consumables in addition to our recycled cartons.
To preserve our industry leading No CO2 environmental standing we will:
Undertake to maintain our Carbon Reduction Institute (CRI) certified ‘Carbon Neutral’ operation.
Offsetting emissions by purchasing carbon credits to neutralise our impact on global warming.
Comply fully with the letter and spirit of environmental laws and regulations.
Seek opportunities to improve our environmental performance.
Minimise our use of materials, water and energy, and purchase supplies that are designed and manufactured to cause the least impact to the environment.
Promote the use of Pre Green products that have had their lifecycle’s emissions offset prior to purchase (Pre Green Products can only be offered by CRI Certified Carbon Neutral organisations)
Reduce, re-use and recycle our waste materials whenever possible.
Wherever practical conduct our business travel in ways that minimise impacts to the environment.
Manage and invest the assets of BOX$MART with socially responsible financial institutions.
Encourage our customers and others we work with to improve their environmental performance.
Whenever feasible use raw materials recycled from other sources.
Monitoring all scrap produced and recycling wherever feasible.
Minimising packaging to that needed to ensure the product is stored and delivered to the customer undamaged.
Eliminate any potentially polluting discharges to the atmosphere or drains.
Consider the environmental impact of proposed new investments as part of our assessment procedure.
No CO2 Certification is the highest form of official recognition offered by the Carbon Reduction Institute. Organisations certified as No CO2 are 100% carbon neutral, having accounted for our total operational emissions as well as the emissions embodied in the products that we sell and use.
